East Timor Delegation Visits Toyon Group to Advance Utility-Scale Solar and Energy Storage Project

Yesterday, Toyon Group welcomed an official delegation from East Timor for an in-depth discussion on renewable energy development. During the visit, both parties reached a preliminary cooperation agreement for a large-scale 100MW photovoltaic power plant combined with a 200MWh battery energy storage system project, marking an important step toward accelerating clean energy development in East Timor.

Strengthening Cooperation for Sustainable Energy Development

During the visit, the East Timor delegation toured Toyon Group’s production facilities and gained a comprehensive understanding of the company's capabilities in solar modules, battery energy storage systems, and integrated renewable energy solutions.

Representatives from both sides held productive discussions on project planning, technical solutions, energy storage configurations, and long-term cooperation. The proposed project aims to enhance local power supply reliability, increase renewable energy penetration, and support East Timor's transition toward a greener and more sustainable energy structure.

Preliminary Agreement on 100MW PV + 200MWh BESS Project

The project under discussion includes:

  • 100MW Ground-Mounted Solar Power Plant
  • 200MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
  • Smart energy management and grid integration solutions
  • Long-term technical support and project cooperation

Once completed, the project is expected to provide stable and clean electricity, reduce dependence on traditional energy sources, and contribute significantly to East Timor's energy infrastructure development.

Official Invitation for Site Survey and Solution Design

Following the successful meeting, Toyon Energy's technical team has received an official invitation from the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of East Timor.

In July 2026, Toyon Energy engineers and project experts will travel to East Timor to conduct:

  • On-site project inspections and resource assessments;
  • Preliminary surveying and data collection;
  • Grid connection and terrain evaluations;
  • Customized system design and feasibility studies;
  • Detailed planning for the 100MW PV + 200MWh BESS project.

This field investigation will lay a solid foundation for the next stage of project implementation and further deepen cooperation between the two parties.
